Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Director of Surgical Services and/or Clinical Nurse Manager, the Central Supply Instrument Technician cares for instruments and supplies by cleaning, organizing and wrapping them in an approved manner conducive to sterilization and disinfection techniques.

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
• Knowledge of instruments and their care
• Knowledge of approved sterilization packaging requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of University and Medical Center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
• Central Supply Technician Certification
• High School diploma or equivalent
