Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support surgical services. Responsibilities include receiving and delivering supplies, processing and sterilizing instrument trays, and maintaining equipment for multiple operating suites.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, and either a Sterile Processing Technician Program, Surgical Technologist Program, or equivalent hospital training. Certification by HSPA or CBSPD is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an approved Sterile Processing Technician Program or Surgical Technologist Program, or on-the-job hospital training accepted.

Responsibilities

• Receives, fills and delivers supply orders.
• Processes and sterilizes instrument trays.
• Cleans and inspects patient equipment.
• Gathers instruments and supplies for surgical case carts.
• Operates equipment and some computer systems.
• Inventories and restocks departmental supplies and special carts.
