HCA Healthcare Colleton Hospital in Walterboro, SC is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready for surgery. This role emphasizes safety, precision, and collaboration with nurses and surgeons to support high-quality patient care.

You will monitor cycles, organize trays, and handle biohazardous materials according to safety standards, with a focus on reliability and timely preparation for daily procedures.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
• High School Graduate / GED required.
• Sterile processing experience is preferred.

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards.
• Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care.
• Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs.
• Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized.
• Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards

• Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs

What qualifications you will need:
