Sanford Health, at Marsh Med Ctr Rice Lake in Rice Lake, WI, is seeking a Sterile Processing/ Central Distribution professional. The role inventories, decontaminates, assembles, sterilizes, and distributes surgical supplies and instruments across the health system.

You will follow SOPs and Infection Prevention guidelines, recognizing processing errors and ensuring timely workflow continuity. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, computer skills, and prior Sterile Processing experience are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 12 months experience in Sterile Processing and /or Central Distribution is strongly preferred.
• Must be certified and maintain certification in Central Service Technology.
• If working in Fargo, North Dakota, certification in Central Service Technology (CRCST) is required within 24 months of date of hire in the position.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory of patient care and surgical supplies, equipment and instruments.
• Ensure proper decontamination, assembly, sterilization, storage, distribution and tracking of items.
• Follow SOPs and Infection Prevention and Control Guidelines.
• Utilize applicable inventory systems to monitor stock and workflow.

Salary Range: $16.50 - $26.50

Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring patient care and surgical supplies, equipment, and instruments are properly inventoried, decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, distributed, and tracked in quality and timely manner throughout the health system. Follows all standard operating procedures (SOP) and policies and Infection Prevention and Control Guidelines. Able to recognize potential and actual processing errors and follow-up according to procedure or management instruction. Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner and maintains continuity in work flow. Utilizes applicable inventory systems in use.
