Job summary

Methodist Hospital in San Antonio is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure sterilization and readiness of surgical instruments for daily procedures.

You will work with nurses and surgeons to maintain safety standards, follow procedures, and support a high-quality patient care environment. A high school diploma and at least 6 months in sterile processing preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months experience in sterile processing or related field.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards
• Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care
• Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs
• Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized
• Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries

As a Sterile Processing Technician, youll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by making sure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your focus on safety and attention to detail helps protect patients and empowers a team that’s committed to the care and improvement of human life – one surgery at a time.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards
