Job summary

Michigan Outpatient Surgical Solutions is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to care for and maintain surgical instrumentation and prepare sets for procedures in our outpatient OR.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, plus CRCST or CSPDT preferred; with 2 years in a multi-specialty OR environment, and strong teamwork and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred.
• 2 years of experience in a multi-specialty operating room environment to include knowledge of sterile processing operations and issues preferred.
• Knowledge of medical instruments and surgical procedures as related to the OR preferred.
• Knowledge of the proper set up of an operating room preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with physicians, surgeons, operating room staff and other healthcare professionals
• Proficient computer skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks successfully
• Demonstrate clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities
