Salary: $25 to $30 per hour

Role Overview

Join our healthcare team as a Sterile Processing Technician, playing a crucial role in supporting surgical procedures by ensuring the precise sterilization and preparation of surgical instruments. This position is key to maintaining rigorous infection control standards and aiding surgical teams in a high-energy setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Function as a vital part of the OR team by cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Guarantee that all surgical instruments and trays are properly sterilized and ready for use in procedures.
  • Uphold strict sterile practices to safeguard patient safety and enhance procedure efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with surgical staff, nurses, and other sterile processing team members to provide top-notch support.
  • Manage the decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments.
  • Address and report any issues with instrument functionality or equipment malfunctions.
  • Comply with all hospital policies and standards pertaining to sterile processing and infection control.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED required; additional technical training or education is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and sterile processing equipment is crucial.
  • Must be flexible with scheduling, including availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
  • We welcome candidates with a Provisional CRCST, indicating successful exam completion, and prefer those fully certified.
