Role Overview

Join our healthcare team as a Sterile Processing Technician, playing a crucial role in supporting surgical procedures by ensuring the precise sterilization and preparation of surgical instruments. Key Responsibilities

  • Function as a vital part of the OR team by cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Guarantee that all surgical instruments and trays are properly sterilized and ready for use in procedures.
  • Uphold strict sterile practices to safeguard patient safety and enhance procedure efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with surgical staff, nurses, and other sterile processing team members to provide top-notch support.
  • Manage the decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments.
  • Address and report any issues with instrument functionality or equipment malfunctions.
  • Comply with all hospital policies and standards pertaining to sterile processing and infection control.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED required; additional technical training or education is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and sterile processing equipment is crucial.
  • Must be flexible with scheduling, including availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
  • We welcome candidates with a Provisional CRCST, indicating successful exam completion, and prefer those fully certified.
