Job summary

EMFOI INC seeks a Sterile Processing Technician (MST) to join the Sterile Processing Services team at the VA Medical Center in Houston, TX. Up to 20 openings, full-time onsite position focused on reprocessing surgical and medical instruments for multiple departments.

The role requires SPS experience in a hospital setting, flexibility to cover various shifts, including nights and weekends, and successful completion of the VA background investigation and onboarding process.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sterile Processing Technician or Medical Supply Technician (SPS).
• Experience in a hospital/sterile processing environment.
• Willingness to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support the Sterile Processing Services (SPS) department and reprocess surgical and medical instruments.
• Assist with instrument reprocessing for areas such as Main Operating Room, Urology, ENT, Speech Pathology, Anesthesia, Cardiology Cath Lab, and Pulmonary Bronch Lab.
• All work must be performed onsite at the VA Medical Center.

Job Responsibilities

The technician will support the Sterile Processing Services (SPS) department and assist with reprocessing surgical and medical instruments used in areas including:

• Main Operating Room
• Urology
• ENT
• Speech Pathology
• Anesthesia
• Cardiology Cath Lab
• Pulmonary Bronch Lab
• Sterile Processing Services

All work must be performed onsite at the VA Medical Center.

Requirements
