Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in Hackensack, NJ is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to perform cleaning, decontamination, assembly and sterilization of surgical instruments and devices in the Sterile Processing Department (SPD).

The role supports patient safety by maintaining environmental conditions, high-level disinfection, and timely dispatch of sterile carts, with inventory management of SPD supplies and adherence to safety protocols.

The certified Sterile Processing Technician within the Sterile Processing Department (SPD) performs all tasks associated with the processing of surgical instruments and medical devices including cleaning, decontamination, assembly, sterilization/high level disinfection; monitoring of environmental conditions, sterilization processes, and HLD processes; assembly and dispatching of case carts and emergency carts; and inventory and ordering of SPD supplies.
