Job summary

Glens Falls Hospital is seeking a Certified Central Sterile Processing Technician to support the Central Sterile Processing Department. The technician will be responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, preparing, and distributing surgical instruments and equipment for pediatric and adult patients.

You will work across 16 operating rooms, handle instruments for multiple specialties, follow infection control standards, and use EPIC.

Qualifications

• 2 years of sterile processing experience required.
• IAHCSMM/HSPA certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Certified Central Sterile Technician.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Travel experience preferred.
• Current skills checklist and work history required.
• 1 supervisory reference from the past 2 years required.
• Certifications must be submitted with the profile.

Additional Information:

• Patient Population: Pediatric to Adult
• Approximately 50 procedures/day
• COVID vaccination encouraged but not required
• Maximum 5 days of RTO accepted; RTO must be submitted with the profile.
• 14-panel drug screen must be completed within 24 hours of offer acceptance.
• Permanent address must match the candidate's Driver's License/State ID.
• Candidates residing in certain NY counties are not eligible for this travel assignment.
