Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician at Cobb Hospital in Georgia. This role focuses on receiving, cleaning, sterilizing, and storing essential medical instruments to meet high safety standards.

The technician will operate washers, steam and other sterilizers, document processes, and support the Central Sterile Supply team. Minimum 1 year of experience and relevant certifications are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED General or Accredited Program Other / Related Field-Preferred
• Minimum 1 year of central supply/sterile processing experience
• All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

Responsibilities

• Collects, receives, cleans, disinfects, and decontaminates instruments, supplies and equipment.
• Sterilizes instruments, equipment and supplies; monitors sterilizers for quality assurance.
• Loads and unloads sterilizers and documents results; ensures proper packaging, labeling and handling.
