Job summary

The ideal candidate will have experience in sterile processing, certification in the Sterile Process Certification Program, and the ability to communicate effectively with staff and patients. This role requires knowledge of sterilization processes and instruments used in the operating room.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience.
• Knows operating room instrumentation.
• Understands operation of steam/gravity sterilizer and Sterrad sterilizers.

Responsibilities

• Care and maintenance of all surgical instrumentation.
• Setup of supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
• Preparation of reports and record-keeping.

Skills

Communication with staff, patients, and physicians

Understanding of medical terminology

Ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions

Experience with sterilizers

Team player

Education

High School diploma or GED

Completion of a Sterile Process Certification Program

CRCST or CSPDT certification
