Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to perform decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, packaging and sterilization of instruments to support physicians and surgical teams in the operating room and other departments.

You will follow hospital policies, comply with regulations, complete Sterile Processing Program certification (CRCST or CBSPD) and work 40 hours weekly as part of the Sterile Supply team.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Sterile Processing Program and CRCST or CBSPD certification.
• Ability to follow hospital policies and state/federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize instruments for OR and other departments.
• Ensure patient safety through accurate sterile processing and timely reprocessing.
