Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a sterile processing technician to decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instrumentation in our Perioperative Services team at 3250 South 76th Street, Philadelphia.

The role requires CRCST certification, a high school diploma or GED, and at least 2 years of instrument processing experience. You will contribute to patient care by ensuring timely, compliant instrument sets and supporting safe, efficient operating room readiness.

Qualifications

• CRCST certification is required.
• Minimum of 2 years instrument processing experience.
• Familiarity with sterile processing workflows and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instrumentation.
• Follow established priority lists and OR schedules; reference instrument tracking system.
• Produce a minimum of 15 instrument sets per day and document appropriately.
• Support Perioperative Services and maintain compliance with sterilization protocols.
