Billings Clinic is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech I to maintain sterilization workflows, decontaminate and assemble surgical instruments, and support hospital-wide sterile processing needs. Shift: Evening, Nights, Weekend Employment Status: Full-Time (.75 or greater) Hours per Pay Period: 1.00 = 80 hours every two weeks (Non-Exempt) Starting Wage DOE: $17.85 - 22.31*May be eligible for $2,500 sign on incentive*
This position is responsible for ensuring that all surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment are properly maintained, decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, distributed, and tracked in a quality/timely manner throughout the hospital. Serves as a resource to sterile processing customers, both on Main Campus and in the Region.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent
Certification in sterile processing, CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) through IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management) or equivalent is required within eighteen (18) months of hire. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience relating to the above tasks, knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.
