Nebraska Methodist Health System in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to join our SPD team. You will decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize instruments and patient equipment while following universal precautions and safety protocols.
The role requires attention to detail, the ability to read recipe sheets, and reliable teamwork in a fast-paced hospital environment. We offer tuition reimbursement, shift differentials, and academic sponsorship with Methodist College.

Location: Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital Address: 933 E Pierce St, Council Bluffs, IA
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 12:00pm - 8:30pm, rotating call weekends and holidays.
Processes, sorts, assembles, and distributes contaminated and non‑contaminated instruments and equipment.

Job Requirements Education High School diploma or General Educational Development (G.E.D.) preferred. Experience 1-2 years previous experience in Sterile Processing preferred. License/Certifications N/A Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Knowledge of decontamination of surgical instruments preferred. Skilled in appropriate surgical instrument sterilization methods preferred. Skilled in proper handling and packaging of instruments preferred. Strong verbal communication skills for positive interaction with staff and customers required.
