Job summary

Endeavor Health in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech for evening hours (3:00pm-11:30pm) with rotating weekends and holidays. Full-/part-time roles include generous benefits and a $5K bonus for 2+ years in sterile processing.

Responsibilities include providing sterile materials, following decontamination and packaging procedures, and ensuring correct labeling and distribution to departments. GED required; CBSPD/IAHCSMM preferred; 2 years of experience desirable.

Qualifications

• GED or high school equivalency required.
• CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification strongly preferred.
• Two years of sterile processing or operating room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospital and affiliated facilities with sterile processed materials and equipment.
• Execute established procedures for decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilization and surgical case cart setup to ensure quality products for patient care.
• Follow established procedures to ensure decontamination completion.
• Place sterile items in appropriate areas for distribution, ensuring items are accurately labeled by department.

Hourly Pay Range:

$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Sterile Processing Tech

Position Highlights:

• Bonus: 5K for 2 or more years' experience in Sterile Processing

Location:

Arlington Heights, IL

Full Time/Part Time: (40 hours) per week

Hours: 3:00pm-11:30pm rotating weekends and holidays required

What you will need:

• Education: GED/High School Equivalent required
• Certification: Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) strongly preferred
• Experience: Two years of sterile processing or operating room experience in surgical instrumentation preferred

What you will do:

• Provide hospital and affiliated facilities with sterile processed materials and equipment
• Execute established procedures for decontamination assembly, packaging sterilization and surgical case cart set up practices by ensuring quality product for patient care
• Follow established procedures to ensure decontamination completion
• Place sterile items in appropriate areas for distribution, ensuring the items are accurately labeled by department
