Job summary

The Valley Health System in Las Vegas, NV seeks a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to manage the reprocessing cycle for surgical instrumentation, including decontamination, disinfection, and sterilization. You will operate ultrasonic cleaners and sterilizers, ensure quality monitoring, and document every step to support safe patient care.

Responsibilities include preparing case carts, assisting with instrument rounds, and helping with supply inventory while mentoring newer staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Twelve months minimum in Sterile Processing preferred.
• Certification in CRCST is required and must be maintained.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Experience with SPD software and MS Office is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage reprocessing cycle for surgical instrumentation including decontamination and sterilization.
• Operate ultrasonic cleaners, washers, sterilizers and related equipment.
• Complete quality monitoring and documentation.
• Prepare case carts and assist with instrument rounds.
• Aid inventory management and mentor new Sterile Processing Techs.
