Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate, clean, process, and sterilize instruments in accordance with center policies and regulations. Reporting to the Manager of Sterile Processing, you will operate under supervision to maintain instrument readiness for care areas.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and CRCST-HSPA or CBSPD certification (or 1 year to obtain).

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Must hold CRCST - HSPA or CBSPD certification, or have one year to obtain after hire.
• 0–1 year of sterile processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, process, and sterilize instruments per policy.
• Operate under supervision of Sterile Processing Manager or designee.
• Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal regulations.
