Job summary

Endeavor Health is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician for the Days shift in Skokie, IL. The role requires handling sterile processing, decontamination, packaging, and cart setup to support patient care across hospital facilities.

Education: GED/HS equivalent; CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification strongly preferred; about two years of sterile processing or OR experience is valued. 40 hours weekly with 6:00am-2:30pm shifts and rotating weekends/holidays.

• Certification by CBSPD or IAHCSMM strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospital and affiliated facilities with sterile processed materials and equipment.
• Execute established procedures for decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilization and surgical case cart setup to ensure quality for patient care.
• Follow established procedures to ensure decontamination completion.
• Place sterile items in appropriate areas for distribution, ensuring items are accurately labeled by department.

What You Will Need

• Education: GED/High School Equivalent required
• Certification: Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) strongly preferred
• Experience: Two years of sterile processing or operating room experience in surgical instrumentation preferred
