Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician to join our fast-paced sterile processing team. You will receive, fill and deliver supply orders, sterilize instrument trays, and prepare case carts while maintaining patient safety and equipment standards.

Ideal candidates have completed a Sterile Processing Technician program, possess IAHCSMM or CBSPD certification, and ideally 2 years of direct instrumentation experience.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an approved Sterile Processing Technician program.
• Certification by IAHCSMM or CBSPD required or preferred.
• 2 years direct instrumentation experience is preferred.

Job Description: In this highly technical, fast-paced, and rewarding position, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for patients. The Certified Sterile Processing Tech receive, fill and deliver supply orders, processes and sterilizes instrument trays. Cleans and inspects patient equipment, gathers instruments and supplies for surgical case carts. Operates equipment as well as some computer systems, inventories and restocks departmental supplies and special carts.

Your Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an approved Sterile Processing Technician program
• Certification by IAHCSMM or CBSPD
• 2 years direct instrumentation experience is preferred.
