Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center, part of Methodist Health System, is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician for an evening shift. You will receive, fill and deliver supply orders, sterilize instrument trays, inspect patient equipment, and prepare surgical case carts in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

The role requires graduation from an approved Sterile Processing Technician program and certification by IAHCSMM or CBSPD; two years of direct instrumentation experience

Job Description :

Your Job: In this highly technical, fast-paced, and rewarding position, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for patients. The Certified Sterile Processing Tech receive, fill and deliver supply orders, processes and sterilizes instrument trays. Cleans and inspects patient equipment, gathers instruments and supplies for surgical case carts. Operates equipment as well as some computer systems, inventories and restocks departmental supplies and special carts.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an approved Sterile Processing Technician program
• Certification by IAHCSMM or CBSPD
• 2 years direct instrumentation experience is preferred.
