Job summary

UT Health Tyler is seeking a Night Shift Sterile Processing Technician in Tyler, TX for a full-time role. You'll decontaminate, prepare, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and medical equipment across the surgery center, following infection control practices.

The position may require overtime and callback as needed by the hospital. Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent, with certification in Sterile Processing preferred and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

The Sterile Processing Technician is assigned duties performing decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment throughout the surgery center, utilizing infection control and safety practices during all phases of the process. This position is subject to overtime and callback as required by the hospital.

• One year of related experience in a hospital or outpatient operating room
• Two years of related experience in a hospital or outpatient operating room
• Sterile Processing Technician Certification
• BLS certification
