Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is hiring a Sterile Processing Tech at Arizona General Hospital-Mesa. You will process and sterilize instruments, assemble trays, perform quality checks and manage inventory to support safe procedures.

Ideal candidates have attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to sterilization protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Education benefits are offered after 180 days for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Completion of a surgical instrument technician program preferred.
• Two years of surgical instrument experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers sterile case carts using aseptic technique.
• Decontaminates surgical instruments, power equipment, endoscopes and other devices.
• Assembles, packages and labels instruments for sterilization.
• Answers phone, fills orders and stocks supplies.
• Applies high/low temperature sterilization and disinfection methods.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Sterile Processing Tech at Arizona General Hospital-Mesa, you will be a vital link in patient care, ensuring the highest quality, sterile instrumentation is always available to medical teams.

Every day, you will meticulously process and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment, assembling trays, conducting quality checks, and maintaining inventory. You'll provide excellent service to patients, physicians, and staff, ensuring tools are safe and ready for procedures.

To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a rigorous commitment to sterilization protocols, working efficiently and expertly to support optimal outcomes.

• Prepares and delivers case carts. Utilizes aseptic technique when handling and distributing sterile instruments and supplies
• Decontaminates surgical instruments, power equipment, flexible endoscopes and other medical devices
• Ability to assemble, package and label, clinics surgical services and all other hospital instrumentation for various methods of sterilization
• Answers telephone, fills orders, issues and stocks supplies
• Utilizes various methods of high/low temp sterilization and disinfection processes

Dignity Health now offers an Education Benefit program for benefit-eligible employees after 180 days. This program provides debt relief and student loan assistance to help you achieve your goals. Full-time employees can receive up to $18,000 over five years, while part-time employees can receive up to $9,000.
