Job summary

Prestige Staffing in Atlanta is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician to support a high-quality surgical environment on-site. This contract-to-hire role focuses on instrumentation, tray assembly, and sterilization workflows.

You’ll decontaminate, inspect, and assemble OR instrument trays, operate steam and STERRAD sterilizers, keep accurate logs, and collaborate with OR teams to ensure readiness. Strong attention to detail and adherence to regulatory standards are required.

Qualifications

• Current Sterile Processing certification required (CSPDT)
• 2–3+ years experience as Instrument Room Technician / Sterile Processing Tech
• Strong knowledge of OR instrumentation and tray assembly
• Ability to prepare reports and maintain records
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items

Responsibilities

Sterile Processing Technician / Instrument Room Tech (Certified)

Contract-to-hire (~3-month temp-to-perm)

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (40 hrs/week)

Location

Atlanta area — 100% on-site

Pay

$30–$38/hr (based on experience)

About The Role

We’re seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician to support a high-quality surgical environment. This role focuses heavily on instrumentation, tray assembly, sterilization workflows, and documentation.

What You’ll Do

• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and set up OR instrument trays with strong attention to detail
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, including:
  • Steam / gravity sterilizers
  • STERRAD systems
  • Experience with multiple sterilizer types preferred
• Maintain accurate logs/records and support compliance standards
• Work closely with OR teams to ensure instrumentation readiness and organization

Required Qualifications

• Current Sterile Processing certification required (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician)
• 2–3+ years experience as an Instrument Room Technician / Sterile Processing Tech
• Strong knowledge of OR instrumentation and tray assembly
