Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate assigned shift operations and services
• Oversee work and assignments for staff processing, distribution of sterile materials, and case cart duties
• Maintain quality control in sterile processing, diagnosing and troubleshooting technical problems and managing surgical instruments
• Demonstrate Jefferson leadership philosophy, lead the staff, and assist the department manager with human resources activities including staff planning, team building, and performance management
• Maintain a high level of internal visibility in the supervision of the department
• Assist with staff training and development
• Interview job applicants, manage direct reports, complete annual performance appraisals, and handle disciplinary actions as appropriate
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
