Description:The position is for a Sterile Processing Tech II on a block schedule of Sunday through Thursday.The role requires strong skills in assembling cardiac, orthopedic, and neuro instrument trays.Daily responsibilities include working in decontamination and ensuring the proper sterilization of instruments.Floating within the specialty may be required, including rotations as needed.Staffing and scheduling will involve working every Sunday as part of the block schedule.Holidays will be required as scheduled.This role involves the use of various sterilization and cleaning equipment.Candidates must have experience with high-level disinfection and immediate-use steam sterilization.Proficiency in sterilization wrapping procedures and proper selection of wrapping materials is essential.Experience with special equipment such as SPM and Steris V-Pro is necessary.Good organizational skills for assembling and labeling trays are important for this role.Successful candidates will demonstrate strong aseptic technique and knowledge of chemical agents used for decontamination.
