Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare is seeking a Central Processing Technician to ensure proper cleaning, decontamination, assembly and sterilization of essential surgical instruments. You will participate in competency training for progressive levels and handle inventory control and distribution with attention to safety and regulatory requirements.

Position offers full-time schedule with evening hours and potential for overtime.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with vendor coordination and equipment handling.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, decontaminate, and disinfect basic surgical instruments.
• Assemble, wrap, label, and sterilize instruments for procedures.
• Print needs lists and gather items for surgical procedures.
• Issue sterile supplies to hospital areas and regional campuses.
• Perform inventory duties and track equipment and consumables.
• Train and validate competencies across levels and communicate with providers and vendors.
