Job summary

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician in an acute care hospital.
• Certification as a Sterile Processing/Central Service Technician through a recognized body (HSPA) in NBSTA, CRCST, AST or CBSPD.
• Only accepted with completion of a Sterile Processing Technician course from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, inspect, test, sort, assemble, package, distribute and collect reusable medical/surgical equipment and supplies.
• Work under general supervision with lead worker responsibilities.
• Maintain compliance with safety and infection control standards.
