Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center, a 443-bed acute care hospital in Richardson, TX, seeks a Certified Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. You will receive, fill and deliver supply orders, sterilize instrument trays, and support surgical case carts in a fast-paced environment.

Graduates from an approved Sterile Processing Technician program with IAHCSMM or CBSPD certification are encouraged to apply; two years of direct instrumentation experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Sterile Processing Technician program.
• Certification by IAHCSMM or CBSPD.
• 2 years direct instrumentation experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, fill and deliver supply orders.
• Process and sterilize instrument trays.
• Clean and inspect patient equipment and gather instruments for surgical case carts.
• Operate equipment and some computer systems.
• Inventory and restock departmental supplies and special carts.
• Communicate clearly and build relationships to promote collaboration.

Job Description : Your Job: In this highly technical, fast-paced, and rewarding position, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for patients. The Certified Sterile Processing Tech receive, fill and deliver supply orders, processes and sterilizes instrument trays. Cleans and inspects patient equipment, gathers instruments and supplies for surgical case carts. Operates equipment as well as some computer systems, inventories and restocks departmental supplies and special carts.

Your Job Requirements

• Graduate of an approved Sterile Processing Technician program
• Certification by IAHCSMM or CBSPD
• 2 years direct instrumentation experience is preferred.
