Position Summary

The Sterile Manufacturing Operator ensures precise production of sterile products in a cleanroom environment, adhering to regulatory standards and aseptic techniques. This role supports Empower’s mission to provide affordable, high-quality medications that improve lives.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Executes sterile product manufacturing in a Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) cleanroom, following master batch records, Standard Operating Procedures, and regulatory standards like 21 Code of Federal Regulations parts 210/211 and United States Pharmacopeia <797>/<800>.
• Utilizes aseptic techniques, operates manufacturing equipment, and ensures accurate calculations and documentation for high-quality medication production.
• Maintains International Organization for Standardization classified cleanroom environments through cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing components while preparing work areas and supplies.
• Supports manufacturing with tasks like autoclaving, bubble point testing, inventory management, and Lean manufacturing initiatives such as 6S, Gemba, and Kaizen.
• Completes sterile operations training, assists in coaching new hires, and provides additional support to meet production schedules and special project needs.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Knowledge and Skills

• Demonstrates strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and follow both written and oral instructions.
• Possesses experience in cGMP or Lean manufacturing, equipment operation, and basic math skills, with the ability to achieve “Gown Qualified” status for cleanroom entry.
