Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking an Instrument Equipment Technician to decontaminate, reassemble, and sterilize all instruments used in the operating room. You will select appropriate surgical case supplies and ensure trays are complete and ready for procedures.

The role requires following safety procedures, counting accuracy, and routine maintenance of instruments. Night shifts are available in our Louisiana facilities.

Qualifications

• Performs decontamination and sterilization of surgical instruments.
• Counts instruments and verifies tray contents.
• Maintains instrument trays and performs preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Processes surgical instruments and supplies using safe techniques.
• Ensures all required instruments are on the tray and counts accurately.
• Decontaminates instruments and resets trays; analyzes sterilization outcomes.

Education

High School Diploma/GED

Equipment sterilization experience

Operating Room exposure
