Job summary

Hims, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Technician 2 - Sterile to provide mid-level maintenance support for Lab & facility equipment.

You will perform predictive/preventive maintenance on lab gear, document data, diagnose issues, and repair equipment across the facility with guidance from the Senior Facilities Manager. Responsibilities include calibration support, safety adherence, and collaboration with QA/regulatory teams to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old with state-provided age documents.
High school diploma or GED required.
Lift up to 50 pounds as part of responsibilities.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project Management.
Ability to troubleshoot machinery without supervision.
Ability to document predictive/preventive maintenance data for process improvement.
English communication; bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Able to bend, stoop, climb, and work at heights with equipment.
Willingness to learn cross-functional tasks and follow company policies.
3+ years of maintenance/engineering experience; knowledge of PLC and CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

Perform predictive/preventive maintenance on Lab Equipment (blenders, hoods, air compressors, electrical controls).
Document maintenance data on charts and logs.
Repair and troubleshoot lab equipment across the facility.
Diagnose and repair equipment in labs and non-lab areas (refrigerators, incubators).
Identify facility issues and apply predictive maintenance strategies.
Escalate safety or loss-risk issues to management.
Support calibration and testing procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
Conduct regular checks of equipment performance (temp, pressure, speed).
Maintain calibration records and regulatory documentation.
Ensure equipment meets quality standards and support QA/regulatory teams.
Coordinate repairs with production to minimize downtime.
Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost savings.
Participate in cross-functional improvement projects.
