Job summary

Specialty Rx, Inc. seeks a licensed Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a role focused on sterile compounding and safe medication handling. The technician will assist in the compounding room, prepare IV medications, and help maintain inventory and quality controls.

The ideal candidate has ASHP-aligned knowledge of medications and strong communication skills, enabling safe, accurate dispensing and collaboration with the pharmacy team.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician a plus.
• Compounded Sterile Technician Certification required.
• Accurate medication and generic knowledge.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Creating a safe, effective environment.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of a supervisor.
• Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties as directed.
• Assist in setup of the compounding room, equipment, and supplies for preparation of compounding sterile solutions.
• Mix IV medications and package them.
• Periodically participate in pharmacy inventory.
• Rotate stock of medication areas to assure quality controls.
• Maintain pharmacy standards and adhere to policies.
• Collaborate with others to support the goals of the pharmacy.
• Complete any other task assigned by the supervisor.
