Job summary

UCI Health in Orange, CA, is seeking a clinically skilled RN to join our multi-disciplinary team as a Patient Care Coordinator. You will collaborate on plans of care, assess and adjust as needed, and help guide patients from admission to discharge across the Step-Down/ICU continuum.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN, California RN license, 2+ years in acute care with ICU/step-down exposure, and can work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays across Orange and Irvine campuses.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain appropriate certifications (NRP, PALS, etc.) per unit assignment.
• Minimum of 2 years acute care nursing experience, with at least 2 years of recent Step-Down or ICU experience
• Current California RN license
• All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a constantly changing environment
• Ability to float between Orange and Irvine campuses.

Position Summary

Acts as a role model and mentor to a variety of students and nurses new to the unit. Functions as a (PCC) Patient Care Coordinator as requested by the supervisor/manager.
