Job summary

TriCities Hospital is hiring a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers. The RN supports pre-operative and post-operative nursing care and advocates for patients to ensure an exceptional experience.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, an active Virginia RN license (or compact), and timely ACLS/BLS certification within specified windows.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN Virginia license or multistate compact license.
• ACLS must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, report changes.
• Perform procedures or functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient record in a timely, thorough manner.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
• Current RN Virginia license or has a multistate compact license
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
