Job summary

Allegheny Health Network—St. Vincent Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for individuals and families. The RN is accountable for the quality of care delivered as a licensed professional.

Qualifications

• Minimum Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Preferred Certification in area of specialty.
• Additional Employment Requirements: CPR certification, Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance, Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance, Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Background Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in a professional practice setting.
• Mentor staff to support patient care and staff development.
• Delegate tasks based on patient needs and staff skill level.
• Support safe environment, patient condition monitoring, and outcome predictability.
• Provide feedback on clinical practice and performance to peers.
• Participate in interdisciplinary teams to evaluate care and health services.
• Promote patient safety initiatives and department quality improvements.
• Utilize nursing process to assess, plan, and implement patient care as prescribed.
