Job summary

Northeast Academy for Aerospace and Advanced Technologies, a public regional STEM school in NC, seeks a dedicated middle/high school teacher to deliver rigorous, project-based instruction and foster student growth across STEM disciplines.

You will engage students through hands-on learning, develop critical thinking and collaboration skills, and collaborate with a team to support college and career readiness while leveraging technology and community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience as a middle or high school teacher.
• NC Professional Educator's License preferred, but not required; eligible to obtain license within 3 years.
• Commitment to serving first-generation college-goers and underrepresented students in STEM.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver rigorous engaging lessons that build on individual strengths and student voice.
• Engage all students using project-based instruction and real-world contexts.
• Help students develop critical thinking, problem solving, communication, and collaboration.
• Utilize technology to enhance instruction and learning outcomes.
• Use a variety of assessments to monitor progress toward goals.
• Support advisory program and mentor students.
