Job summary

State of South Carolina's SC NEXUS Education and Workforce Center seeks an Education & Community Outreach Coordinator to drive partnerships with districts, schools, colleges, agencies, and employers, expanding awareness of advanced energy education and career opportunities through the Mobile VR Lab and statewide visits.

You will present, engage students and educators with immersive experiences, coordinate visits, collect data for reporting, and help shape program growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.
• Experience with school districts or youth-focused programs preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel statewide; occasional evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain partnerships with school districts, schools, technical colleges, state agencies, community organizations, and private-sector employers.
• Lead statewide outreach and engagement efforts for SC NEXUS Education and Workforce Center.
• Schedule and manage Mobile Lab visits.
• Deliver engaging presentations and immersive virtual reality experiences.
• Collect, verify, analyze, and report participation, demographic, feedback, and impact data.
• Support continuous program growth and improvement.
