Job summary

Headfirst Camps in Oakton, Virginia is seeking enthusiastic Sprouting Scientists (STEM) Counselors to lead kids aged 6-8 through interactive, project-based learning in a summer camp setting. Counselors will manage daily schedules, teach a pre-designed curriculum, and ensure a safe, engaging atmosphere for campers.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work around small children for full days.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Commitment to switching off cell phones during work shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of 20 campers with a co-counselor through planned activities.
• Teach curriculum and engage campers during breaks.
• Implement safety protocols and supervise camper activities.
