Job summary

Benjamin Steel Co is seeking a Warehouse associate to perform a variety of warehousing duties, verify materials against documents, route materials to storage, and prepare shipments. You may operate equipment to stage or process material.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED; shipping/receiving experience is helpful; ability to read a tape measure; lifting up to 50 lbs; and strong math/reading skills. A teamwork mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous shipping and receiving experience helpful.
• Overhead crane and forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Accurately locate and identify stock for storage and retrieval using scanner when appropriate.
• Safely operate related machinery and equipment.
• Process paperwork necessary for material handling and verify loads with tickets/scanner.
• Load and unload trucks and verify load with delivery tickets and scanner.
• Tag, band, and package material for shipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Be helpful and courteous to all customers and employees.
• Perform other duties as related or assigned for the benefit of the Company.
• Good attendance is an essential function of this job.
