Job summary

Big Sky Service Co offers opportunities for motivated carpenters and crew members in general trades—interior build outs, carpentry, drywall, store fixtures, and millwork across Michigan and surrounding states.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, preparing layouts to building codes, measuring, cutting, installing metal framing, and maintaining a safe, clean work area. Prior construction experience is preferred; competitive compensation applies.

Qualifications

• Motivated and self-disciplined.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Previous experience in the commercial construction industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, place and join studs using steel materials.
• Install metal framing.
• Notify the supervisor of any equipment deficiencies.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Keep work area clean.
• Other duties as required.
