Job summary

CST Industries, Inc. in Illinois is seeking a production operator to set up and run a cut-to-length line, operate leveler, blaster and edge coating equipment, and provide prepared steel.

You will perform in-process and final inspections, and manage steel inventory in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates communicate clearly in English, have a High School Diploma, and bring 0-3 months of experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Productively set up, operate and adjust, automatic cut to length, leveler, blaster and edge coating equipment.
• Perform in-process and final inspection using various measuring instruments.
• Conduct and report steel inventory as requested

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

REASONING ABILITY

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints including geometric dimensioning

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee works in a manufacturing plant environment with normal exposure to noise, dust, and hazards associated with working in a high traffic, heavy machinery, manufacturing plant. Typical work hours are Monday through Thursday from 6 AM 5–PM (may vary by area in department). Job requires overtime. Work hours may change at Management's discretion with prior notice.
