Feralloy Corporation, a leading steel processing company, is seeking a full-time Crane Operator at our Kentucky site. Safety is a priority; you will perform required equipment inspections, assist production across lines, and help meet daily goals. Pay: $20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in steel processing, manufacturing, or warehouse environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Willingness to work night or overnight shifts as needed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist operations across multiple production lines, including stretcher, leveler, shear, and packaging areas.
• Monitor material during production and report defects or issues.
• Prepare and verify materials before production, including checking work orders, dimensions, and specifications.
• Measure materials using micrometers and tape measures to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with feeding coils into production lines and ensuring proper alignment and positioning.
• Support operators during line runs by monitoring material flow and assisting with adjustments.
• Perform blocking, stacking, and packaging preparation tasks as required.
• Band, tag, and identify finished materials in accordance with work orders and production requirements.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of production equipment and material staging areas.
• Maintain proper material handling using cranes, forklifts, and other equipment as required.
• Perform sample cutting and assist with quality testing procedures when needed.
• Identify and report nonconforming materials and follow proper procedures for handling and documentation.
• Follow all procedures for stopping production lines safely, including emergency stop situations.
• Perform daily equipment and tool inspections and report any unsafe conditions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and assist with production reporting as required.
