Job summary

Monarch Steel Company, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler responsible for moving steel throughout our service center. You will operate forklift and overhead cranes, receiving and shipping materials, and staging products for sales and production orders.

Under supervision, you will maintain safety, follow procedures, and verify counts while upholding our 1 TEAM culture and high safety standards in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma preferred; forklift/crane license required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Licensed to operate forklift and/or crane.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced service center environment.

Responsibilities

• Embrace the 1 T.E.A.M. culture and wear PPE as required.
• Operate forklift and/or overhead cranes to move material safely.
• Receive and ship material into the computer system as needed.
• Move and store materials, verify counts, and stage material for orders.
• Report equipment failures to supervisor and follow safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
