Job summary

Kinsley Steel, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to support the fabrication shop in loading and unloading steel, transferring steel to production tables, and operating a forklift to keep the line moving. This hands-on role requires awareness of safety policies and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have overhead crane experience, forklift operation skills, basic math ability, and flexibility for overtime or Saturdays as needed to meet production goals.

YOUR ROLE AS A MATERIAL HANDLER

The Material Handler is responsible for supporting the fabrication shop with various duties such as loading and unloading steel from trucks, transferring steel to production table, and using a forklift as needed.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate forklift as needed
• Perform rigging work including jacking and staking
• Load and unload steel from trucks
• Load steel to transfer tables to feed production line
• Perform other duties as required to support the fabrication shop

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have experience with overhead crane
• Experience using and operation a forklift is required
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by functioning and communicating in an effective manner with co-workers, clients, and supervisors
• Works in compliance with Kinsley's safety policies and procedures
• Must be flexible to work any schedule needed including overtime and Saturdays as needed
• Basic math skills are required
• Must be able to tolerate hot and cold working environment
• Must be able to stand on feet for up to 10 hours
• Must be organized and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment
