Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a dependable Machine Operator for the steel parts department in Detroit Lakes, MN. This role operates a steel folding machine and programs machines to bend parts to spec, ensuring quality and consistency.

The candidate should be comfortable reading schematics, lifting up to 50 lb, and collaborating with a team to meet daily production goals. Benefits include day-1 medical/dental/vision, PTO, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to work on your feet for 90% of the day.
• Ability to lift up to 40-50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Previous Manufacturing Experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to understand and read schematics.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to work independently but contribute to team accomplishments.
• Strong attention to details.
• Reliable transportation, attendance, & punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Operating a steel folding machine to bend steel parts.
• Read Schematics, program machines, and run the programs to bend parts to meet specifications.
• General understanding of how steel parts are used in construction.
• Learn and cross train on other machines which cut the steel.
• Inspect finish products for accuracy and consistency.
• Maintain a clean and organized work space.
• Follow company safety procedures.
• Work collaboratively within the team to meet daily production goals.
• Willing to work with others in supportive areas of the plant.
• Ability to read and understand schematics.
