Job summary

Extreme Steel, Inc. is seeking skilled Fitter/Fabricators to join a growing structural steel and miscellaneous metals team serving the DC, Virginia, and Maryland areas. Responsibilities include measuring, fitting, welding, and finishing metal components per blueprints and project specs.

Applicants should have at least 1 year of related fabrication experience, be detail-oriented, and able to work independently or in a team, with a Monday–Friday schedule and a 7:00 AM–3:30 PM shift.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of structural steel fitting or fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Experience using grinders and other fabrication tools.
• Welding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure, lay out, align, and fit fabricated metal components according to blueprints and shop drawings.
• Prepare steel for welding using grinders and other fabrication tools.
• Weld components according to blueprints and project specifications.
• Finish metal work by removing slag, weld spatter, and excess weld material.
• Perform general cleaning and housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Assist with general fabrication and production operations as needed.
