Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Steel Fabricator for a company in Zelienople, PA. The role involves preparing materials for welding, reading drawings, and ensuring dimensional accuracy for fabrication.

You'll operate cranes and fabrication equipment, coordinate with laborers and operators, and follow safety procedures. Starting pay is $24.50 per hour, with regular Monday–Friday daytime hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Manufacturing or fabrication experience preferred.
• Sheet metal fabrication or welding experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ability to use measuring tools accurately (to 1/32 inch).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and wear required PPE.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials for welding from CNC burn tables, bar stock, pipe, and angles.
• Review blueprints and fabrication drawings to determine layout requirements.
• Measure and verify dimensional accuracy before fabrication.
• Use overhead cranes, hoists, and equipment to move materials safely.
• Lay out sheet metal, plate, and weldments for fabrication and assembly.
• Operate fabrication equipment such as shears, rolls, presses, punches, and saws.
• Coordinate material needs with laborers and machine operators.
• Identify potential fabrication issues and escalate to supervisors or engineering.
• Follow safety procedures and contribute to safety improvements.
