Commercial Steel Erection, Inc. in Madison, WI, seeks a Construction Supervisor to direct activities of crews on structural steel projects, including buildings and towers. You will oversee up to 50 employees, coordinate multiple crews, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on site.
The role requires a four-year college program or 2–4 years related experience, ability to travel, and a valid driver's license. Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential.

Summary Directs activities of workers concerned with construction of buildings, warehouses, factories, structural steel towers or other construction projects by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages Up to 10 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of Up to 50 employees in the Steel Erection Department. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience: Four-year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Driver's License, must meet CSE, Inc. MVR criteria.
Other Skills and Abilities: This position requires the use of emotional control and the ability to accept responsibility and demand the same of subordinates.
